Quote:
“If a man knows not to which port he sails, no wind is favourable.” — Seneca
This quote by Seneca, the famous Roman philosopher, speaks to the importance of having clear goals and direction in our lives.
Without a clear destination in mind, we may find ourselves drifting aimlessly, unable to make progress or take advantage of opportunities that come our way.

HOW TO RELIABLY STOP HICCUPS:
Hiccups = phrenic nerve-to-diaphragm
spasm. To de-spasm that circuit, inhale maximally (via your nose) 3 times with no exhales in between. Then hold your breath for 15-30 seconds & then slowly exhale (via your mouth). Done.— Andrew D. Huberman, Ph.D. (@hubermanlab)

Well that’s fairly self explanatory — next time, give it a go!
Boost Your Productivity with the Eisenhower Matrix
Do you ever feel like you have so much to do, but not enough time to do it all? You're not alone. Managing your workload can be overwhelming, especially if you don't have a system in place to prioritise and organise your tasks. But what if we told you there's a simple tool that can help you get organised and increase your productivity? And what if we told you that it involves a former U.S. President and a table?
Introducing the Eisenhower Matrix, a time management tool that can transform your daily routine and help you achieve your goals. This powerful tool was popularised by former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who was known for his efficient time management. He once said:
With the Eisenhower Matrix, you can prioritise your tasks based on their importance and urgency, so you can focus on what really matters.
So, how does the Eisenhower Matrix work? It's a four-quadrant table that separates your tasks into four categories:
Important and Urgent
Important but Not Urgent
Urgent but Not Important
Not important and Not Urgent.
Focus on the ‘important and urgent’ tasks first: These tasks require your immediate attention and have a significant impact on your goals or well-being. Avoid procrastination and distractions, and work efficiently to get them done.
Next, Focus on the ‘important but not urgent’ tasks: These tasks are important for your long-term success, so make time for them regularly. Schedule them into your calendar or to-do list, and treat them as a priority.
For ‘urgent but not important tasks’, consider whether someone else can handle them, or whether they can be completed later without consequences.
Finally, minimise ‘not important and not urgent’ tasks' as much as possible, or use them as a reward for completing more important tasks.

The Future of Blood Sugar Monitoring: Apple's Noninvasive Sensor for Diabetics
Apple is reportedly close to creating a noninvasive glucose test for diabetics through a new sensor on its Apple Watch. The technology has been in the works since 2010 when then-Apple CEO and founder Steve Jobs bought out RareLight, a small startup that crafted ideas for noninvasive blood glucose monitoring.
The goal of the technology is to help the millions of people around the world diagnosed with diabetes, manage their condition without the need for finger pricks or skin patches.
According to sources, if the technology is approved, it will measure diabetics’ glucose levels but could also be used as a preventative measure.
Apple uses a chip technology called silicon photonics combined with absorption spectroscopy, which measures reflected light to assess blood sugar levels. The device could also alert people who are pre-diabetic, offering a more convenient option for those with diabetes.
Although test data for Apple’s latest endeavour to calculate glucose levels have not been peer-reviewed, sources told Bloomberg it is in the proof-of-concept stage. Sources also told the outlet that the technology is too big at this point, and that it needs to be smaller in order to be used in a wearable device.
Apple's technology could change the way diabetics manage their condition.
Currently, patients can manage their condition by pricking their finger to test their glucose levels or by attaching patches to their skin.
Apple's goal of producing a noninvasive technology has the potential to offer a more convenient option for some patients.
The Apple Watch has increasingly become more of a tool to monitor health, with features like a heart rate monitor, fitness tracker, body temperature sensors, assessing blood oxygen levels, and women’s health tracking. Apple has always had a vision for combining technology with healthcare, and this could be a significant step forward in that direction.
RareLight’s founder, Bob Messerschmidt, told Bloomberg that Apple's noninvasive glucose monitoring technology could not have been a reality if Apple hadn’t purchased RareLight more than a decade ago. The deal ultimately happened because of "Jobs’s vision of healthcare combined with technology."
Apple's glucose monitoring technology may still be years away from being approved, but its potential could revolutionise the way diabetes is managed. Before its release to the public, the company's data would need to be evaluated independently to ensure its accuracy and efficacy.

On Today's podcast: “That feeling you grapple with every day of wanting to change, but struggling to change because 30 minutes into the day you’ve already caved and did what you said you wouldn't do, is more than paralysing. It makes you frustrated and angry with yourself. That habit loop of disappointment leads many people to depression and living a mundane life filled with unfulfilling things you don’t even value. Tony Robbins is a legend that needs no introduction. His work has been changing lives at scale for decades and continues to grow more powerful and more impactful every year.”
